Two Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives due to a collision between two Sukhtbari vehicles on a dirt road in Dashtiari County.
According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, the collision of two Sukhtbari Toyota Land Cruiser pickup on a dirt road in Dashtiari County, along the Rimdan route leading toward one of the inlets, resulted in a massive fire. Two Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives in the flames.
As of the time of this report, the identities of the Sukhtbars remain unknown.
Local sources stated that one of the vehicles was transporting fuel, while the other was empty. The collision caused the fire, and the drivers of both vehicles perished in the blaze.
A teenager who was accompanying one of the vehicles managed to escape unharmed.
Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have been forced to turn to due to the lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct gunfire from military and security forces are among the dangers that threaten the lives of these Sukhtbars. According to reports from Baloch activists, in the year 2024, at least 375 Baloch Sukhtbars have been injured or lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires. Of this number, 240 Sukhtbars were killed and 135 were injured, representing a 55% increase in the number of killed and injured Sukhtbars compared to the year 2023.
