Bukan: Two Brothers Arrested by Security Forces

Mohsen Gardeshi and Hossein Gardeshi, two brothers from Bukan, have been arrested by Iranian security forces and transferred to a detention facility in Urmia.

According to Kolbarnews, on the evening of Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the two brothers were taken into custody by security agents and moved to one of Urmia’s security detention centers for interrogation.

According to the report, security forces raided the workplace of Hossein Gardeshi in one of Bukan’s streets without presenting a judicial warrant, arresting him on the spot. Later, they stormed his family home, conducting a search, insulting family members, and confiscating several personal belongings.

At the same time, another group of security agents raided the home of his brother, Mohsen Gardeshi, and arrested him without a court order.

Both brothers had previously been arrested by security forces in January 2021. At that time, Mohsen Gardeshi was released after a few days, while Hossein Gardeshi was transferred from the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center in Urmia to the city’s Central Prison on Saturday, February 13, 2021, and was eventually released on bail on March 8, 2021.

As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for their recent arrests or the charges brought against them.
