Matin Hasani, who lost an eye during the 2019 protests, has been sentenced to 31 months in prison by Branch 101 of the Bukan Criminal Court.
According to Kolbarnews, Hasani was charged with “inciting or provoking people to fight and kill with each other with the intent of disrupting national security” and “propaganda against the regime.”
In April of this year, Matin Hasani was also summoned to the First Investigation Branch of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of Bukan on charges of “propaganda against the regime.”
At the age of 19, Matin Hasani lost one of his eyes when security forces shot him during the November 2019 protests in Bukan.
