Naseh Feizi, a mine worker in Bukan, lost his life due to inadequate safety measures and negligence toward workers’ conditions.

According to Kolbarnews, Naseh Feizi, a 45-year-old worker from the village of Dashghol, Bukan, died while working in one of the region’s iron mines. Reports indicate that the primary cause of the incident was the absence of proper safety standards and disregard for workers’ occupational conditions in the mines.
This incident comes just days after a similar tragedy at the Abdollahabad iron mine in Mahabad, where a wall collapse led to the death of one worker and injury of another. That mine, located on the Mahabad-Bukan road, had recently resumed operations after being closed during the winter.
According to a report by the Iranian Parliament’s Research Center, 3,826 people lost their lives due to work-related incidents in 2021 and 2022 (1400–1401 in the Iranian calendar). Of those, approximately 8% were related to mining accidents.
Furthermore, recent reports reveal that within less than 48 hours, eight mine workers died in Iran: one in Mahabad due to a wall collapse, and seven in Damghan’s coal mine due to gas poisoning and a lack of essential safety equipment.
