Bukan: A Citizen Sentenced to One Year in Prison

Rashid Rahimi, a resident of Bukan, has been sentenced to one year of imprisonment by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Kolbarnews, in recent days, Branch 101 of the Second Criminal Court in Bukan convicted Rashid Rahimi on charges of “propaganda against the regime,” sentencing him to one year of discretionary imprisonment. The ruling was recently communicated to Rahimi, and he is required to present himself to the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Bukan in the coming days to begin serving his sentence.

Rashid Rahimi was initially arrested by security forces in Bukan early on Thursday, May 9, 2024. After completing interrogation procedures, he was temporarily released on bail pending the conclusion of judicial proceedings.
