Two workplace accidents in different regions of Iran have resulted in the death of one worker and the injury of another.
According to Kolbarnews, the first incident occurred at a construction site in the Tehranpars area, where a welder fell into a well while working and lost his life. Rescue teams worked for several hours to recover his body.
In another incident in Gorgan, a 55-year-old construction worker fell into an elevator shaft. He was rescued by emergency services and transported to a hospital with injuries.
According to published statistics, at least 64 miners lost their lives in work-related accidents during the first six months of 2024. These alarming figures highlight the poor safety conditions in the country’s mines.
