Urmia: Teifour Salimi Babamiri Released on Bail

Teifour Salimi Babamiri has been temporarily released from Urmia Prison after posting a bail of three billion tomans, pending the completion of his legal proceedings.

According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, September 1, 2024, Teifour Salimi Babamiri, a resident of Bukan, was released on bail after nearly four months of detention. During this period, he was interrogated in several security detention centers in Sanandaj, Baneh, Bukan, and Urmia before being transferred to the central prison in Urmia.

Salimi Babamiri was arrested in March 2023 by security forces without a court order.

As of the time of this report, the specific charges against him have not been disclosed.
