Urmia; Death of a Worker Due to Fall from Height

A worker from Quni village, part of the Sumay-Beradust area in Urmia, died after falling from a height.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, June 20, 2024, “Akbar Mahmoudi,” a 30-year-old married father of two from Quni village in the Sumay_Beradust area of Urmia, died after falling from a height while working.

It is worth noting that in 2023, a total of 2,115 workers (2,094 men and 21 women) lost their lives in work-related accidents, marking an 11.3% increase compared to the previous year’s toll of 1,900.

Iran ranks 102nd globally in terms of workplace safety, indicating a very low standing.
