Six mountaineers from Baneh lost their lives after being trapped under an avalanche in the Haft-Tash heights.

According to Kolbarnews, on Friday, February 28, 1403, 2025, an avalanche in the Haft-Tash mountains, located along the Baneh–Biyan-Dareh road, led to the disappearance of a group of mountaineers.
As per the Red Crescent’s Operations Deputy, the avalanche struck 33 kilometers from the Baneh–Marivan highway in the early hours of Friday.
After hours of search efforts by local residents and rescue teams, the bodies of six mountaineers Omar Abdollahi, Ronak Daneshmand, Karvan Ahmadpour, Khalegh Mohammadzadeh, Shahla Rahmani, and Yasa Sadeghi were recovered from beneath the snow.
