Labor activists Morteza Saeedi, Mohammad Irannejad, and Nasrollah Amirloo have each been summoned to the Third Criminal Enforcement Branch of the Shahriar Prosecutor’s Office to serve their two-year prison sentences.
According to Kolbarnews, Morteza Saeedi, Mohammad Irannejad, and Nasrollah Amirloo have been summoned to begin serving their prison sentences. On Wednesday, they each received a notice to report within five days to the Third Criminal Enforcement Branch of the Shahriar Prosecutor’s Office to serve their two-year sentences.
Previously, the Second Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Shahriar sentenced Mohammad Irannejad, Nasrollah Amirloo, and Morteza Saeedi each to two years in prison on charges of “forming a group under the title of a labor union with the intent to disrupt national security.”
Mohammad Irannejad, Nasrollah Amirloo, and Morteza Saeedi, along with several other labor activists, were arrested by security forces on April 15, 2022. Mr. Saeedi and Mr. Amirloo were released on bail on May 9 and May 2, 2022, respectively, and Mr. Irannejad was released after approximately one month.
