Tehran: One Worker Died After Fall from Height

In a tragic incident, a worker lost his life after falling from a height.

According to Kolbarnews, Bakhtiar Feizi, a worker from the village of Saravieh in the Sarvabad district, died after falling from a height in Tehran. 

Mr. Feizi, who was a stonemason and the father of two children aged 8 and 3, suffered fatal injuries during the accident and died immediately at the scene.

It’s worth noting that in 2023, a total of 2,115 workers (2,094 men and 21 women) lost their lives due to work-related accidents, marking an 11.3% increase compared to the previous year, when 1,900 workers died. Iran ranks 102nd globally in terms of workplace safety, which is a notably low ranking.
