Hiwa Amini, a civil activist from Saqqez, has been arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to Kolbernews, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Hiwa Amini was detained by security forces in Saqqez without a judicial warrant and taken to an undisclosed location.
This is not the first time Amini has been arrested. On August 5, 2020, he was previously detained by security forces and transferred to the Sanandaj Intelligence Department’s detention center for interrogation. After completing the interrogation process, he was released on bail.
Later, in December 2020, the First Branch of the Saqqez Revolutionary Court sentenced him to 10 months in prison on charges of “propaganda in favor of a Kurdish opposition party against the Iranian government.”
As of the time of this report, there is no information regarding his current condition, place of detention, or any potential charges against him.
