According to this report, the summons and interrogation of these two labor activists were related to their non-participation in the International Workers’ Day ceremony and their attendance at the International Women’s Day ceremony on March 8.
It is worth mentioning that on the same day, Tawfiq Mahmoudi, Taib Chatani, and Rafiq Karimi, other labor activists from the city of Sanandaj, were summoned to the Intelligence Agency, interrogated, and released. The summoning and interrogation of these three labor activists were also related to their non-participation in the International Workers’ Day ceremony.
Shadman Bani-Bashar has previously been detained and faced legal actions due to his activities.
Ahmad Ghamari and Shadman Bani-Bashar are members of the “Chelchameh” mountaineering group in Sanandaj.
