According to KolbarNews, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, security forces in Sanandaj arrested Omid Ahmadi. The report indicates that security personnel detained this environmental activist at his workplace without presenting a judicial warrant. Omid Ahmadi, 30, is a resident of the village of Negel, a suburb of Sanandaj. The reasons for his arrest and the charges against him remain unknown at the time of this report.
It is also noteworthy that on the same day, security forces in Kamyaran arrested at least ten environmental activists following the funeral of the deceased environmental activist Ismail Karimi.
