Due to unsafe working conditions and inadequate safety measures, Dindar Khalili lost his life while working in Turkey.

According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, March 2, 2025, Dindar Khalili, a worker from the village of Kuzeh Rash, a suburb of Salmas, died due to electrocution while on the job in Turkey. Many workers in Turkey lack insurance and proper safety equipment at their workplaces and often work for lower wages. In case of an accident, employers rarely take legal responsibility.
According to a report by the Occupational Health and Safety Watch (İSİG), at least 425 workers died in work-related accidents in Turkey during the first four months of 2024. The report further states that since the rise of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) in November 2002, more than 31,000 work-related deaths have been recorded.
Despite job insecurity, hazardous conditions, and poor labor rights, the number of labor strikes has decreased under AKP rule. Labor union leaders argue that authoritarian governance and the two-year state of emergency following the failed 2016 coup significantly reduced the number of strikes.
