Regime military forces at the Rask inspection checkpoint assaulted, injured, and detained a Baloch Sukhtbar.
According to Kolbarnews, citing Resank, on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2024, military forces stationed at the entrance inspection checkpoint of Rask city disembarked a Baloch Sukhtbar from his vehicle, subjected him to assault, and then detained and transferred him to an undisclosed location.
The identity of this Baloch citizen, “Morteza Mirzaei”, 31 years old, son of Hossein, married with a young child, from Saravan, has been provided.
According to this report, the military forces stationed at the entrance inspection checkpoint of Rask city disembarked the apprentice driver of the fuel-carrying vehicle after it stopped, subjected him to assault and beatig.
Following this unlawful act by the military forces, the driver of the fuel-carrying vehicle managed to exit the inspection checkpoint upon witnessing this scene, and Morteza, after being assaulted and injured, was detained and transferred to an undisclosed location.
It is said that the military forces have not been responsive to the inquiries of the relatives of this Sukhtbar, and his family is concerned about his health status.
Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have resorted to out of lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturning, and direct shootings by military and security forces are some of the dangers that threaten the lives of Sukhtbars in this profession.
