The Director General of Welfare of Qazvin Province announced the identification and acceptance of 299 child laborers in support centers from the beginning of the year 1402 until mid-Ardibehesht of the current year.
According to Kolbarnews, the Director General of Welfare of Qazvin Province reported the identification and acceptance of 299 child laborers in support centers.
Ali Dehbashi stated: “Last year, 285 child laborers were identified, among whom 94 child laborers are in residential centers and 191 child laborers are in daily support centers.” He added: By mid-Ardibehesht (Iranian calendar) of the current year, four children were identified and admitted to residential centers, and 10 were admitted to educational daily support centers.
The Director General of Welfare announced that between 60 to 80 percent of them are non-Iranian, especially from Afghanistan, and providing services to these children is always faced with challenges, considering that some of them lack residency permits. Therefore, verifying the nationality of children in their registration is effective, and their identity is confirmed through iris photography to avoid duplicate information, funded by national credits of this organization.
