Diako Azizi, Loqman Zangi, and Siamand Zangi, three residents of Oshnavieh, have each been sentenced to 16 months in prison by Branch 101 of the Oshnavieh Criminal Court II.
According to Kolbarnews, Diako Azizi from the village of Bab Khaledabad, along with Loqman Zangi and Siamand Zangi from the village of Kani Sork in Oshnavieh, were sentenced by Judge Ansari of Branch 101 for “association and collaboration with an opposition party.” The court hearing for these three individuals took place on October 26, 2024, and the verdicts were officially communicated to them three days later.
On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, security forces in Oshnavieh detained Loqman Zangi, Siamand Zangi, and Diako Azizi without presenting a judicial warrant. All three were subsequently transferred to a security detention center in Urmia. After their interrogations, they were moved to Oshnavieh Prison.
Eventually, these citizens were temporarily released from Oshnavieh Prison on bail, pending the completion of their legal proceedings.
