Sulaiman (Saman) Chopani, a detained citizen from Piranshahr, has been released on bail from Naqadeh Prison.
According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, Sulaiman Chopani was released after posting bail of 3 billion tomans.
Sulaiman Chopani had previously been sentenced by the judiciary to two years and seven months in prison on charges of “membership in an opposition party” and “propaganda against the regime.”
He was arrested on September 5, 2024, by security forces without a judicial warrant and was initially held at the Intelligence Detention Center in Urmia before being transferred to Naqadeh Prison.
