Miandoab: Release of Mohsen Qaderash and Omid Qadernejad on Bail

Mohsen Qaderash and Omid Qadernejad have been temporarily released from Miandoab prison on bail pending the completion of their legal proceedings.

According to Kolbarnews, Mohsen Qaderash and Omid Qadernejad were released on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, each on a bail of 500 million tomans. 

They were arrested on April 17, 2024, after being summoned by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence office in Miandoab and subsequently transferred to the city’s prison.

Previous reports indicated that their summons and arrest were related to their participation in Nowruz celebrations. Mohsen Qaderash, 30 years old, and Omid Qadernejad, 28 years old. Both are residents of the village of “Haji Hassan Shamat,” a suburb of Miandoab.
