Marivan: Adel Pirozi Transferred to Prison to Serve One-Year Sentence

Adel Pirozi, a former political prisoner from Marivan, was transferred to Marivan Prison to serve a one-year prison sentence.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, November 10, 2024, Adel Pirozi, transferred to Marivan Prison to serve a one-year prison sentence.

Adel Prozi, a resident of Sardush village near Marivan, was recently sentenced by the Sanandaj Court of Appeal to one year of imprisonment on charges of “propaganda against the regime in favor of an opposition group.” He had previously been convicted by the Marivan Revolutionary Court on similar charges.

Pirozi was initially detained on November 20, 2023, after being summoned by Marivan’s intelligence office and subsequently transferred to the Sanandaj intelligence detention center. After completing his interrogation, he was moved to Marivan Prison. On January 15, 2023, he was temporarily released on bail of 300 million tomans pending the outcome of his trial.

In an earlier incident October 2019, Pirozi was arrestransferred to Marivan Prison to serve a one-year prison sentence.
