Mahmoud Abdi and Ismail Karamati, two participants in the Jina Revolution, Bukan, remain under threat of abduction and assassination by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran after leaving Iran.
According to Kolbarnews, Mahmoud Abdi, a 44-year-old protester who participated in the Jina revolution in Bukan on the November 19, 2024, was severely injured by the regime’s oppressive forces with shotguns bullet to the abdomen and arm during this movement and was forced to flee Iran to a neighboring country due to being pursued and pressured by the regime’s security and oppressive forces. However, the pressure and cyber threats against him by security forces persist.
Mr. Abdi, who still bears a significant number of shotgun bullet in his body, expressed concern about receiving threatening messages from the regime’s cyber forces and told Kolbarnews: “The regime’s oppressive forces threaten us in various ways and at different times in social media.
These threats come with vulgar and inappropriate language. We are threatened with abduction and murder. We were forced to leave Kurdistan and Iran, but living in hiding with threats has been very painful and unbearable. However, this is a price we will proudly pay for freedom and equality.”
Ismail Karamati, who was with Mahmoud Abdi on the day he was injured, was also forced to leave Iran after being pursued by the security forces. He also spoke to Kolbarnews about the dire and dangerous conditions: “They (the regime’s security forces) want to deter us from our desire for freedom through murder and abduction. They threaten us with death. They call us rioters. They have deprived us of peace! While they themselves are the main factor in depriving people of security and comfort in Iran. They have killed many people; killing and abducting are their 44-year-old profession.”
Mahmoud Abdi and Ismail Karamati, during the Jina revolutionary uprising in Bukan, not only participated but also provided medical treatment and rescue for many of the injured in this uprising.
