According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Friday, September 20, 2024, security forces detained Tahir Katani again. The arrest was made without presenting a judicial warrant.

Tahir Katani, a resident of the village of “Laj” in the Mahabad region, had previously been arrested by security forces on July 16, 2022, and was eventually released on bail after nine days in detention.
