Mahabad; Arrest of a Citizen and Confiscation of Kurdish Clothing Belonging to Two Others

Samrand Vojoudi, a resident of Mahabad, was arrested by security forces, while the Kurdish clothing of Kaveh Salak and Loghman Salak was confiscated during a raid on their home.

According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Friday, May 9, 2025, Samrand Vojoudi, a 39-year-old resident of Mahabad, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.

Additionally, security forces raided the private residence of Kaveh Salak and Loghman Salak, conducted a search, and confiscated personal belongings including Kurdish clothing, traditional belts (jamaneh), mobile phones, and other items.

As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for Vojoudi’s arrest, his place of detention, or the charges filed against him.
