Labor Strike at Negin Makran Petrochemical Plant in Chabahar

Workers at the Negin Makran Petrochemical Plant in Chabahar have gone on strike due to unpaid wages.

According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, workers at the plant staged a strike in protest against months of unpaid wages.

A knowledgeable source stated, “For four months, the workers of Negin Makran Petrochemical have not received their salaries from contractors, despite the severe economic hardships and rampant inflation.”

The source added, “The workers have stopped working and gathered inside the petrochemical facility to protest. They have declared that they will continue their strike until their overdue wages are paid.”

These workers had also gone on strike on February 9, 2025, at the same facility operated under the supervision of Sina and Farjoud companies protesting wage delays and systematic discrimination.
