Labor Protest: Textile Workers in Borujerd Go on Strike

The workers of Borujerd Textile Factory have gone on strike due to three and a half months of unpaid wages.

According to Kolbarnews, the workers have been on strike for three consecutive days, protesting unpaid wages, lack of proper health insurance, and job insecurity. The strike has been accompanied by a protest gathering at the factory premises.

One of the protesting workers stated:
“We demand the payment of our overdue wages and improvements in health insurance coverage. Our job security must also be guaranteed so we can continue working without fear.”

This strike comes at a time when economic difficulties and delays in wage payments have put significant pressure on workers. The textile workers of Borujerd hope their protest will push officials to address their grievances and improve their working conditions.
