On the morning of Saturday, March 29, 2025, a father and son lost their lives after their Sukhtbari vehicle overturned in the Garenchin area of Khash County.

According to Kolbarews, the victims were identified as Gol Mohammad Barahouei, 57, a father of six, and his teenage son Abdolmajid Barahouei (known as Ahmad), 17, both residents of Lotak-e-Islamabad in Hamoon County.
Local sources reported that Gol Mohammad and his son were traveling from Hamoon to Saravan when, for unknown reasons, their vehicle veered off the road and overturned. Both suffered fatal injuries in the accident.
The report also noted that Abdolmajid was a high school student who had accompanied his father during the holidays to assist him with work.
Sukhtbari considered one of the unconventional and dangerous occupations that many Baloch people in Balochistan are forced to engage in due to the lack of suitable and stable employment opportunities. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct shootings by military and security forces are some of the dangers that threaten the lives of Sukhtbars. According to reports by Baloch activists, in 2024, at least 240 Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires, while 135 others were injured in these incidents, 19 of whom were children.
