Kermanshah: Continued Detention and Uncertainty for Farid Enayati

Farid Enayati, a resident of Paveh, remains in limbo at the Intelligence Ministry’s detention center in Kermanshah, 37 days after his arrest.

According to Kolbarnews, Farid Enayati was arrested on November 14, 2024, without a judicial warrant, at his home by security forces. In protest, he has reportedly gone on a hunger strike while in custody.

Since his detention, Enayati has been denied phone calls, family visits, and access to legal representation. Despite his family’s repeated efforts to inquire about his situation with judicial and security authorities in Kermanshah, they have received no clear answers. Officials have confirmed his hunger strike but continue to withhold any details about his case.

It’s also noted that Hamid Enayati, Farid’s brother, was arrested at the same time. However, Hamid was released after 25 days following the completion of his interrogation and posting bail from Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah.

As of now, no information is available regarding the reasons for Farid Enayati’s arrest or the charges against him.
