Kamiyaran: Labor Activist Morteza Saeedi Sent to Evin Prison

Morteza Saeedi, a labor activist from Kamiyaran, has been transferred to Evin Prison to serve a two-year sentence.

According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Morteza Saeedi, a labor activist from Kamiyaran, was transferred to Evin Prison to serve a two-year prison sentence.
Previously, Branch 2 of the Shahriar Revolutionary Court had sentenced him on charges of “forming a group with the intent to disrupt national security.” This sentence, initially issued on June 22, 2024, was upheld in the appeals court.

It’s worth noting that Morteza Saeedi was initially detained on April 15, 2022, along with several other labor activists and was later released on bail.
