Esmail Karimi, an environmental activist from Kamiyaran, succumbed to his severe injuries at Kowsar Hospital in Sanandaj.
According to Kolbarnews, early on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, Esmail Karimi, an environmental activist and a member of the Kamiyaran Natural Resources Department, passed away due to the severity of his injuries.
On Monday, July 22, 2024, Karimi went to the “Kanishah” forest area near Kamiyaran with other environmental activists to control a wildfire, where he suffered severe burns (80% of his body).
Due to the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted by emergency helicopter to Kowsar Hospital in Sanandaj and was admitted to the intensive care unit.
Esmail Karimi was a married employee of the Kamyaran Natural Resources Department and had two children.
