Omid Hamedi, a high school teacher in Kamyaran, has been arrested by the city’s security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, December 7, 2024, security forces raided Mr. Hamedi’s workplace and arrested him. Following his arrest, the forces took him to his home, conducted a search, and confiscated his personal belongings.
Earlier, on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Hamid Azizi, a teacher in the villages of “Gazrakhani” and “Palangan,” near Kamiyaran, was also arrested after being summoned to the security office of the city’s Department of Education. He was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location. Hamid Azizi holds a Ph.D. in Communications and Media Studies from Allameh Tabataba’i University in Tehran.
As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for these arrests, the detainees’ whereabouts, or the charges against them.
