Isfahan: Three Workers Killed and Injured in Explosion at Fireworks Factory

An explosion at the “Avanar Parsian Meymeh” fireworks manufacturing factory in Shahin Shahr County resulted in the deaths of two workers and serious injury to a third.

According to Kolbarnews, the incident occurred on the morning of Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at around 10:30 AM. One worker died at the scene, while the second passed away en route to the hospital. The third worker suffered severe burns and was transported by air ambulance to a medical facility. The factory is reported to be engaged in the production of pyrotechnic and fireworks equipment.

It is important to note that, according to the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization, at least 1,077 workers died due to workplace accidents in the first half of the Iranian year 1403. This equates to around 200 deaths per month or roughly 50 each week due to workplace incidents and employer or official negligence, marking a 15.7% increase compared to the same period last year. Of those killed, 1,066 were men and 11 were women.
