The date palm groves in Abtar Rural District, Iranshahr County, have been engulfed in flames, resulting in the destruction of numerous palms.
According to Kolbarnews, on Friday, May 31, 2024, a massive fire broke out in the date palm groves of Abtar Rural District in Iranshahr County, burning several homesteads and many date palms.
It is reported that despite calls to the fire department, only one fire truck arrived after hours of delay. Due to the extensive nature of the fire, it was unable to effectively respond, resulting in the complete burning of the farmers’ groves, several homes, and livestock barns.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damages are unknown at the time of reporting.
