Iran; Expulsion of over 20,000 Afghan Children in 1402.

Afghan local authorities have announced that “more than 20,000 Afghan children” were expelled from Iran last year.

According to Kolbarnews, citing migration affairs, “approximately thirty to forty children without guardians are returned from Iran daily.” Afghan local authorities say these children are returned alone to the country. Additionally, in the past year, close to three thousand children without guardians were sent back from Iran and delivered to their families in various provinces of Afghanistan. According to this report, Afghan local authorities have stated that in 1402, over 20,000 Afghan children were expelled from Iran.
