Rasoul Bodaqi, a teacher imprisoned in Evin Prison, has been temporarily released on a one-week leave after being incarcerated for a long period.
According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, September 16, 2024, Bodaqi, a teacher’s union activist and a member of the Coordinating Council of Iranian Teachers’ Trade Associations, was released on a one-week leave after nearly two and a half years in prison.
He had been detained in Evin since May 2022.
Bodaqi has been arrested multiple times for his union activities and has spent several years in prison due to his advocacy work.
