Divandarreh: Farid Baidest Sentenced to 20 Months of Imprisonment

Farid Baidest, a resident of Divandarreh, has been sentenced to 20 months of imprisonment by the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court.

According to Kolbarnews, the sentence was issued by the First Branch of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court. A knowledgeable source stated that Baidest was tried on charges of “collaboration with a Kurdish opposition party” and “propaganda against the regime.” The verdict was communicated to him in recent days.

On Wednesday, June 13, 2024, security forces raided Farid Baidest’s home without presenting a judicial warrant and arrested him. After completing interrogation, he was temporarily released on bail pending the conclusion of the judicial process.
