Two Baloch Sukhtbars were fatally injured due to the overturning and burning of their vehicle on the Delgan-Iranshahr road.
According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, April 2, 2024, two Baloch Sukhtbars who were severely burned and injured due to the overturning and burning of their vehicle on the Delgan-Iranshahr road on Monday night, April 22, 2024, lost their lives in the hospital.
The identity of these two Sukhtbars, “Ardeshir Irendoogani”, 23 years old, son of Rostam, and “Ismaeil Barahovi Gangoozi”, 23 years old, son of Behzad, both from Iranshahr city, has been confirmed.
According to local sources, “On Monday night, April 22, a Tiba sedan carrying these two Sukhtbars overturned and caught fire twenty kilometers from Delgan on the Iranshahr road. The occupants of the vehicle, suffering from severe burns, were transferred to Hospital in Iranshahr, and both passed away within a few hours in this hospital.”
Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have resorted to out of lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturning, and direct shootings by military and security forces are some of the dangers that threaten the lives of Sukhtbars in this profession. According to reports from Baloch activists in 2023, at least 172 Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires, and 42 others were injured in these incidents, including 11 children
