Native workers of the Chabahar TIRAGE Company have gone on strike in protest against the non-payment of their several months’ wages.
According to Kolbarnews, the TIRAGE Company, operating in the Chabahar Free Zone, has not paid the wages of its native workers for two months and has also refrained from paying their bonuses and last year’s benefits. Following this, native workers went on strike on May 7th. However, so far, there has been no response from the company officials to these protests.
It is said that the TIRAGE Company is currently hiring non-native workers, which has increased concerns among native workers about their potential dismissal.
It is still unclear how long this strike will continue.
