Bukan: “Shirko Mam-Karimi” Sentenced to Imprisonment and Fine

“Shirko Mam-Karimi,” a political prisoner from the Jina uprising in Bukan, has been sentenced to three months of imprisonment and a fine of 762 million tomans.

According to Kolbarnews, Shirko Mam-Karimi, a political prisoner from the Jina uprising, was charged with “engaging in conflict with law enforcement,” “damaging government and public property,” and “disturbing public order.” He was sentenced to three months of imprisonment and fined 762 million tomans.

Mr. Mam-Karimi was arrested by IRGC intelligence forces on December 5, 2022, during the fortieth-day commemoration of Jina uprising martyr “Semko Mouludi” in Mahabad. 

He was temporarily released on December 19, 2022, after posting a bail of 2.5 billion tomans.
