Bukan; Sentencing of Two Arrestees from Jina revolution to Imprisonment and Lashes

Diyar BakhtiyariSara and Matin Siahi, two citizens from the city of Bukan and participants in the Jina revolutionary uprising, have been sentenced to prison and 60 lashes.

According to Kolbarnews, Diyar BakhtiyariSara and Matin Siahi were sentenced by Branch 101 of Bukan Criminal Court to imprisonment and 60 lashes. 

According to the issued verdict, Diyar BakhtiyariSara was sentenced to three months of imprisonment for charges of “carrying flammable and explosive materials,” six months of imprisonment for “resisting officers in the line of duty,” and 191 days of imprisonment with credit for previous detention, as well as 30 lashes for “disrupting public order and tranquility.” 

Matin Siahi was sentenced to three months of imprisonment for charges of “carrying flammable and explosive materials,” six months of imprisonment for “resisting officers in the line of duty,” and 191 days of imprisonment with credit for previous detention, as well as 30 lashes for “disrupting public order and tranquility.”

The verdict was issued on January 28, 2024, and these two citizens are currently serving their sentences in Bukan prison.
