Bukan: Sentencing of Sorveh Shiri and Peyman Shiri to Imprisonment

Sarveh Shiri and Peyman Shiri, two residents of Targeh village in Bukan, have been sentenced to a total of 14 months in prison by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Kolbarnews, Sirveh Shiri, 22, and Peyman Shiri, 19, siblings from Targeh village in Bukan, were sentenced by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court Two of the city to eight and six months in prison, respectively. The charges against them were “propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, Sirveh Shiri, Peyman Shiri, and their cousin, Fardin Shiri, were arrested by security forces in their home village of Targeh without any judicial warrant. They were subsequently transferred to a security detention facility in Urmia.

After completing the interrogation process, they were temporarily released from prison on bail, pending the conclusion of judicial proceedings.
