According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, Ahmad Hasan-Zadeh, the father of Mohammad Hasan-Zadeh who was killed during the 2022 nationwide protests in Bukan, was released on bail.
Mr. Hasan-Zadeh had been arrested by Bukan security forces on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in front of his home on the second anniversary of the Jina revolutionary uprising.
It is reported that he has been accused of “propaganda against the regime” and “encouraging shopkeepers to join the general strike on the second anniversary of the Jina uprising.”
It is worth mentioning that both Ahmad Hasan-Zadeh and his daughter, Solmaz Hasan-Zadeh, were previously arrested on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, by intelligence forces in Bukan, who used violence during the arrest at their home. They were temporarily released the next day on a bail of 4 billion tomans. Solmaz Hasan-Zadeh, the sister of the slain Mohammad Hasan-Zadeh, remains in custody and is being held in the women’s ward of Urmia prison.
Both Ahmad and Solmaz Hasan-Zadeh were also arrested by Bukan security forces last year. Mohammad Hasan-Zadeh was killed on November 16, 2022, during the Jina uprising in Bukan by gunfire from regime forces.
