Matin Hassani, an eye injury victim from the November 2019 protests, has been summoned to serve his prison sentence.
According to Kolbarnews, Matin Hassani, a resident of Bukan and an injury victim from the November 2019 protests, has received a summons to appear at the First Branch of the Criminal Enforcement Office of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Bukan for the execution of his prison sentence.
The summons, issued on July 8, 2024, requires Mr. Hassani to present himself within 10 days for the execution of the sentence.
It is noteworthy that Matin Hassani was sentenced to 31 months in prison by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court 2 of Bukan.
On May 16, 2024, Matin Hassani’s trial was held at Branch 101 of the Criminal Court 2 of Bukan, where he was charged with “incitement and provocation to war and massacre” and “propaganda against the regime.” He was previously summoned in April 2024 for the final defense on the charge of “propaganda against the regime.”
Matin Hassani was arrested by security forces without a warrant at his family home on January 23, 2024, and was released on bail after one month in Bukan prison. In November 2019, at the age of nineteen, he lost the sight in one eye due to a bullet shot during the nationwide protests in Bukan.
