Bukan: Abdollah Golestani Sentenced to Three Months in Prison

Abdollah Golestani, a resident of Bukan, has been sentenced to three months and one day of imprisonment by the judiciary.

According to Kolbarnews, Abdollah Golestani was recently convicted by Branch 3 of the Appeals Court in Urmia on charges of “propaganda against the regime.”

Abdollah Golestani was initially arrested on September 2, 2023, by security forces in Bukan. During his detention, he was reportedly subjected to severe torture, resulting in a spinal injury. Although he was briefly transferred to a hospital for treatment, he was returned to the intelligence detention center before fully recovering.

Golestani had previously been sentenced by the judiciary to pay a fine of 113 million tomans and serve one month in prison. After paying the fine and posting bail of one billion tomans, he was temporarily released.
