Jalal Sohrabi, a Kolbar from the city of Baneh, lost his life due to direct shooting from border forces in the border strip of this city. This Kolbar had been wounded by border forces in the same border area nine months ago.
According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, border forces in the border strip of “Sowrkeo” in Baneh targeted a group of Kolbars, resulting in the loss of one Kolbar’s life.
The deceased Kolbar’s identity, “Jalal Sohrabi,” was approximately forty years old and from the village of “Tajan” in the outskirts of Baneh city.
He was married and had two children. The body of this Kolbar has now been transferred to Hospital in Baneh for medical procedures.
On Thursday, August 17, 2023, a Kolbar from the city of Baneh was wounded by direct shooting from border forces in the border strip of “Sorkio” in Baneh. According to this report, the identity of this Kolbar was “Jalal Sohrabi,” son of Karim, and from the village of Tajan in the outskirts of Baneh city.
According to the statistics recorded in Kolbarnews in the year 1402, a total of 444 Kolbars in the border areas and inter-provincial routes between West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and Kermanshah provinces were killed or injured due to factors such as direct shooting by regime military forces, avalanches, frostbite, stepping on mines, falling from mountains and heights, and other causes. Out of this total number, 44 Kolbars were killed, equivalent to 10%, and 400 Kolbars were injured, equivalent to 90%. Out of the total 444 Kolbars killed or injured in the year 1402, a total of 373 cases, equivalent to 84%, were due to direct shooting by military forces.
Additionally, out of the total 444 Kolbars killed or injured in the border strip of Kurdistan in the year 1402, 37 of them are children under 18 years old.
In the year 1402, we witnessed a 90% increase in the killing and injuring of Kolbars in the border strip of Kurdistan.
