A group of activists, freedom-seeking men and women, and equality advocates in Baneh held a ceremony to mark March 8, International Women’s Day.

According to Kolbarnews, the event began with a performance of The Internationale, the anthem symbolizing global worker solidarity. Attendees then observed a moment of silence in memory of those who lost their lives in the struggle for freedom and equality.
Following this, one of the activists delivered a speech on the history and significance of March 8. Participants also engaged in discussions on women’s rights, existing challenges, and the political situation in Kurdistan.
The ceremony venue was decorated with red banners symbolizing resistance and solidarity.
