Baneh: Arrest of Reza Alaei by Security Forces

Reza Alaei, a filmmaker from Baneh, has been arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, Reza Alaei was arrested by security forces in the parking lot of his home in Baneh and transferred to an undisclosed location.
The arrest was reportedly carried out without a judicial warrant, and despite efforts by his family and friends, no information regarding his fate has been made available.

Reza Alaei, born in 1977, is a married man with three children. He has directed several films, including the feature film Zewiye Piseakan (Dirty Lands). As of the time of reporting, no information has been released regarding the reason for his arrest, his whereabouts, or the charges against him.
