Baneh: A Kolbar Injured by Border Forces Shooting

A young Kolbar was injured as a result of shooting by border forces in the border areas of Baneh.

According to Kolbarnews, yesterday afternoon, Monday, April 29, 2024, border forces at the HangeJal border in Baneh shot a young Kolbar with a Kalashnikov rifle. The Kolbar was severely wounded in the knee and was transferred to medical centers for treatment.
The identity of this Kolbar, “Milad Rahimi, 19 years old, from the village of “Kookh Sheikh Al-Islam” in the Alut district of Baneh city, has been reported.

According to the statistics recorded in Kolbarnews in the year 1402, a total of 444 Kolbars in the border areas and inter-provincial routes between West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and Kermanshah provinces were killed or injured due to factors such as direct shooting by regime military forces, avalanches, frostbite, stepping on mines, falling from mountains and heights, and other causes. Out of this total number, 44 Kolbars were killed, equivalent to 10%, and 400 Kolbars were injured, equivalent to 90%. Out of the total 444 Kolbars killed or injured in the year 1402, a total of 373 cases, equivalent to 84%, were due to direct shooting by military forces.
Additionally, out of the total 444 Kolbars killed or injured in the border strip of Kurdistan in the year 1402, 37 of them are children under 18 years old.
In the year 1402, we witnessed a 90% increase in the killing and injuring of Kolbars in the border strip of Kurdistan.
