According to Kolbarnews on the evening of Tuesday, January 21, 2025, a collision between two Sukhtbari vehicles occurred on the Bam-Iranshahr route near Narmashir, resulting in the deaths of two Sukhtbars and injuries to another.
Reports identify the deceased as Mojtaba Ravan, 26 years old, son of Mahmoud, and Khoda-Bakhsh Abarooz, both residents of Iranshahr.
The injured Sukhtbar, who sustained leg injuries, remains unidentified at the time of reporting.
According to local sources: On Tuesday night, near the city of Narmashir, two Sukhtbari cars with three occupants collided with each other, resulting in the death of two occupants from the two vehicles, while one person sustained a leg injury.
Sukhtbari considered one of the unconventional and dangerous occupations that many Baloch people in Balochistan are forced to engage in due to the lack of suitable and stable employment opportunities. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct shootings by military and security forces are some of the dangers that threaten the lives of Sukhtbars. According to reports by Baloch activists, in 2024, at least 240 Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires, while 135 others were injured in these incidents, 19 of whom were children.
