Balochistan: Severe Shortage of Educational Facilities in Sistan and Baluchistan

Sistan and Baluchistan is grappling with a significant lack of educational infrastructure.

According to Kolbarnews, citing the head of the Provincial Planning and Management Organization, the per-student educational space in Sistan and Baluchistan is only 3.8 square meters, compared to the national average of 5.2 square meters. This disparity highlights the deep gap between this province and others across the country in the field of education.

In addition to the shortage of educational facilities, the province faces another challenge: only 23% of rural development plans (known as “Hadi projects”) have been implemented. This low percentage reflects the dire state of educational infrastructure in rural areas of the province.
